The Future of Toasting
posted February 1, 2008An anonymous reader sent me this link to a video titled "My Incredibly Cool Toaster". It is truly a thing of beauty. The bread is brought gracefully into the machine's warm belly, then two gleaming chrome doors come gliding in silently from the sides to create an evanescent toasting sanctuary. The video's accompanying soundtrack is "The Blue Danube Waltz" by Johann Strauss Jr., which evokes the famous space station rendezvous scene from Stanley Kubrik's "2001: A Space Odyssey".
This undoubtedly is how toast will be made by our future benevolent robot overlords.
